Right in town, the most beautiful grounds! Not suitable for children, yay. Lovely pool, lots of comfy chairs. The grounds were so lovely!

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary weekend here. Spa experience was amazing and very relaxing. The pool was clean and well maintained. The hotel is comfortable and feels like home. All the staffs are friendly and the cute cat manager patrols at night. We will definitely come back.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the service was wonderful and very friendly, and the location is perfect. The first time I stayed here with my family, we had a great experience. Recently, I came by myself and my stay was perfect from arrival to departure. I tried mud baths and a massage. Both were amazing. The spa is very clean and the staff are very responsive and provide wonderful service. The service was very high caliber in every respect. Before my trip I inquired about the weather and about local events and other details. The staff patiently answered my questions and helped me arrange all the details of my stay. When I arrived, everything was smooth, and when I checked out, I had a questions about some of the charges and the staff immediately clarified everything. Overall, I found the staff to be very well trained, take pride in their work, and just friendly overall. The location is wonderful. Parking is convenient and free, restaurants are nearby, and there is a great grocery store just two blocks away. The pool and facilities are extremely clean and comfortable. I have extremely high standards and I will choose to stay at the Roman Spa again. Next time I will bring friends and family. I highly recommend staying at the Roman Spa if you want to experience the charm and beauty of Calistoga and wine country. My stay was worth every cent.

I used the day spa for the Mud-Mineral-Massage treatment only. This was my first mud bath and I loved it. It felt strange at first, but after a few minutes I settled in and truly enjoyed it. I only wish it had been a little longer. The attendant asked "Ready to get out?" and I guess I should've said no! But I took it to mean it was time to get out. The shower to rinse of the mud was perfect, then the mineral bath would have been lovely except the tub was too long to accommodate a smaller person (5'1") comfortably. It needs some sort of grip mats or something so that it's possible to recline in place even if you're not 7 feet tall. That made it less than relaxing as I could only really sit up in the bath. The massage afterwards was wonderful, it could have been deeper pressure but they charge extra for that. But it was still nice and relaxing. The location is perfect and staff was very kind. I would go back if they figure out the mineral tub situation. The mud bath was magical.
