After each treatment, we flush the mud with our hot springs mineral water that is between 140- 150 degrees. We also regularly add fresh mud to the tubs to replace mud flushed away during cleaning and showering.
2. AT WHAT TEMPERATURE IS THE MUD?
The temperature in the mud bath is approximately 101-103 degrees.
3. HOW IS THE MUD ROOM SET UP?
DO YOU SEGREGATE MEN AND WOMEN? We have 2 mud rooms, each room is a private experience for a maximum of 2 persons. You will only share the room with the person you have booked the appointment with. Each mud room contains two mud tubs, two showers, and two mineral bath tubs.
3. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING THE MUD BATH?
Most of our customers wear only their birthday suits! You will have a spa attendant who will assist you during the treatment, but your privacy will be respected. If you do not feel comfortable being nude with your companion, we suggest wearing an old bathing suit since the mud may stain clothing.
4. WHAT IF I WANT TO DO A MUD BATH BUT MY COMPANION DOES NOT?
Not a problem! You can partake in the mud bath, and your companion can take an extended soak in the mineral bath while you are in the mud. After you finish in the mud and shower off, you will move to your mineral tub, after soaking, both of you will be escorted to the cool down room for a blanket wrap.
5. ARE THERE SITUATIONS WHEN I SHOULD NOT TAKE A MUD BATH?
If you have circulatory or nervous system issues, high or low blood pressure, decreased sensitivity to heat due to diabetes, have a heart condition or are abnormal sensitivity to heat, you should ask your physician beforehand. If you are pregnant, have open wounds or recent surgery, or any condition that might be aggravated by heat, you should not take a mud bath. If you have any impairment that will prevent you from getting into or lifting yourself out of the mud tub, you cannot take a mud bath treatment.
6. ARE THERE ANY PRE- MUD BATH INSTRUCTIONS?
Taking a mud bath is a heat intensive treatment, therefore, it is important to drink plenty of water prior to your treatment. Eat a light meal. No alcohol at least 4 hours prior to your treatment.
