Nice 3-star hotel and spa. The room was adequate and clean. The courtyards were very charming and the groundskeeper was an amazing. I was curious about the spring water system and he was more than happy to explain and show me the system. The pool temperatures were a bit wonky (the indoor pool was not very hot). My wife’s massage was not very strong, more like gentle rubbing. And a mandatory 20% tip on massages, the receptionist told us it’s policy and didn’t offer any concessions.

Reasonable prices, lovely garden, picnic area with gas grills, centrally located setting that is within walking distance of all of Calistoga . I've been going here since 1978 and love returning. Great Spa services across the parking lot. Enjoy!

Such a great time! Very relaxing, Massage Therapist Roxie was very professional. Great massage and she was attentive to my needs. I would love to come back soon. Pools were lovely.

I used the day spa for the Mud-Mineral-Massage treatment only. This was my first mud bath and I loved it. It felt strange at first, but after a few minutes I settled in and truly enjoyed it. I only wish it had been a little longer. The attendant asked "Ready to get out?" and I guess I should've said no! But I took it to mean it was time to get out. The shower to rinse of the mud was perfect, then the mineral bath would have been lovely except the tub was too long to accommodate a smaller person (5'1") comfortably. It needs some sort of grip mats or something so that it's possible to recline in place even if you're not 7 feet tall. That made it less than relaxing as I could only really sit up in the bath. The massage afterwards was wonderful, it could have been deeper pressure but they charge extra for that. But it was still nice and relaxing. The location is perfect and staff was very kind. I would go back if they figure out the mineral tub situation. The mud bath was magical.
