Yes, the three pools at our Calistoga, CA resort contain 100% natural geothermal water. Sitting over an underground geothermal aquifer enables us to use our wells to pump nature's gift into our pools. We vary the temperatures in our large outdoor pool between 92 to 96°F depending upon the season, and maintain our outdoor jetted hot tub at 103°F, and our indoor jetted pool at 100°F.
The pools at our Calistoga resort are open daily from 8 am to 10 pm, except New Year's Eve, when they remain open until midnight. Children under the age of four are not permitted in our pools or inside our gated pool area. Children over four years are permitted in two pools - the large outdoor pool and the indoor pool - when accompanied by an adult.
Children under the age of four are not permitted in the pools at our Calistoga hotel and spa. Our pools are considered "soaking" pools for relaxation. So jumping, splashing, diving, Marco Polo games, and noodle fights are not permitted. Our guests are here to relax, enjoy the company of friends, and socialize. Noodles are provided at the pool for use during your stay.

If the reservation is canceled before three days of arrival at our Calistoga resort, a full refund less $25 is assured. There's no refund for reservations canceled less than three days before arrival. Reservations that include packages have a 5-day $50 cancellation policy. Group room blocks have a 30-day cancellation policy, and reservations booked through one of the online travel agencies have a cancellation policy of 72 hours less $46.
Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort is not a pet-friendly property. We request guests to keep their pets at home or with a sitter when they are visiting our Calistoga, CA spa resort. Service dogs are allowed with proper identification upon check-in. Animals that provide other services such as emotional support do not qualify under the ADA guidelines for service animals. PG&E will advise their customers in the region when a Public Safety Power Shutoff or PSPS is issued. During a PSPS event, power will not be available to our pools, spa, lights, A/C or heat. We do provide guests with lanterns. During a PSPS outage, guests who cancel their stay will receive a prompt return of their advanced deposit. We will allow room stays to be rebooked at the current or best room rate available. Guests who choose to remain on property during a PSPS or any outage will not receive any discounts or refunds. Calistoga Shuttle is an on-demand transit service available complimentary for Calistoga hotel guests. No advanced reservations are required. The comfortably heated and air-conditioned shuttles are wheelchair accessible. Our front desk associates will provide the required transit ticket upon request, as well as shuttle routes and time of operation.
Calistoga is one and a half hours away from San Francisco International airport. Get on US-101 N in South San Francisco from International Terminal Arrivals Level and head Northwest. Follow US-101 N and I-80 E to CA-29 N/Sonoma Blvd in Vallejo. Then take exit 19 from CA-37 W. Follow CA-29 N to Washington St in Calistoga.

Children are welcome aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train, and there are some packages with special rates for kids. Parents are advised to prevent their children from walking about the cars due to the rare potential of a sudden stop. Diaper changing is not permitted in the railcars. McKinstry Street Station has a diaper changing station in the restroom.
Admission to the Napa Valley Museum is free for members and children. There's a $15 fee for non-member adults, and a $10 admission fee for non-member seniors, both including the audio tour. Getting to Robert Louis Stevenson State Park is easy when you're staying at our Napa Valley spa resort. Head North on Highway 29 at the junction of Highways 128 and 29 in downtown Calistoga. Follow Highway 29 as it ascends 8.2 miles and reaches a summit. Here, you will find parking for Robert Louis Stevenson State Park on both sides of the highway.
